Description
This is part one of a two piece study where I was testing out the differences between watercolor papers. This Chickadee on a branch was painted on a widely used, relatively cheap watercolor paper which has a relatively low cotton content. It was interesting to me that the paint seemed more washed out on this paper. Both paintings were painted using the exact same watercolors. I noticed that watercolors used on this paper tended to dry very quickly, and didn't lend themselves to blending into other colors as a result.
